Dear church family,

God has given us an historic opportunity to reach the greater Cedar Rapids metropolitan area. In the wake of the flood, Christ’s followers have risen to the occasion to be His hands and feet. This will give us credibility to share the gospel like never before.

Such an important event requires heroic faith – a faith in Christ that allows Him to do the impossible. I am praying that an unprecedented number of people will cross the line of faith in Jesus Christ in the next two years.

It was God’s providence that our prayer, care and share murals in the Worship Center have the skyline of Cedar Rapids with the Cedar River in the foreground. Please continue to pray and care for and share with those on your bookmarks. Do so trusting Christ to achieve the impossible – to change the hearts of people.

More than ever, we need to stay the course on our relocation endeavor. If we are going to have room for the hundreds of people coming to Christ, then we need to make room for them. God is leading us to do that by expanding to a new facility capable of ministry to those who are not yet here.

To this end, we received 487 financial commitments totaling $7.3 million. This was a 77% increase over our last capital stewardship campaign. God is definitely doing a great work in our midst!

To those who made commitments, thank you for allowing God to use you to accomplish His will for New Covenant Bible Church! It will take heroic faith in Christ’s provision to fulfill these commitments. In order to help each of us in this faith journey, a team was put together to help us. This team consists of Ken Kolek, George Justice, John Maehl, and me. Over the next three years, you will get regular updates that will encourage you to “Get Off to a Fast Start,” “Stay the Course,” and “Finish Strong.”
